The Golem's Eye by Jonathan Stroud

Finally got my copy of the second book of The Bartimaeus Trilogy. I was pretty excited to get it since I have to wait for a month or so for it to arrive here in Cebu. So i just really wanna brag about it. Teehee. Seriously, who wouldn't want to?? Finally getting a hold of a book you are dying to have gives you so much joy and pride. Well, in my case at least. They are kind of like my babies, got them with hard work and bought them with love ;)

Anyway, here it is~!

They were DEFECTIVE when I got them though which was a real bummer. But because of my excitement, I didnt even bother to inspect when I got it. But even if I did, would I have choice? I mean, sure I do. But considering that this is the one and only copy in their branch here in Cebu, and the fact that I may have to wait for forever to have this is kind of tormenting.

Would you rather have the defective one or wait for a book that may never come? Of course there is always the possibility of getting it but it will take too looooonnngg~~. As usual, my impulsiveness won. So I got.

I guess, I'll just have to live with it :(

Needless to say, I am quit disappointed with Fullybooked, Ayala Cebu Branch for this. Although they were kind enough to ship me this book from Manila.

Its nice to have someone ask you if youre okay, hungry or simply "how was your day?" when you get home from school. It makes you feel loved and appreciated, you know? I love my dad, I just dont tell him that as often as I used to. Teehee

I dont know what happened, I just caved in. Teehee

Okay, so me and my good friend BJ Almeda made a deal to order the unavailable books here in Cebu online via Amazon. I was able to save enough money to buy Chasing the Prophecy and Fyre (both hardbound) until I decided to walk around Ayala malls just this afternoon. I dont know if its a good thing or a bad thing because one moment I was just window shopping and the next thing I knew is that im already by the counter, paying for a shirt.

Oh well, I'll just have to be extra thrifty this week and the next. Wish me Luck~!

And seriously, who wouldnt want to buy this? In the MIDDLE OF SUMMER??

Summer Classes, Summer Blues

It pains me to see most of my facebook friends enjoying their summer without worrying about classes while me on the other hand is stuck here doing school related stuff in the middle of Summer season. I mean, as a Student with a 5 year course, why cant we be privileged enough to have free summers?
But then again, I did have my fair share of awesome Summer 2013 moments AND I still get to receive my weekly allowance so I guess I'll just be happy about it. Forget about all the home works, all the tests, all the sleepless nights and those terrorizing teachers. Forget about the jealousy of not being able to have summer fully, not being able to enjoy my free weekends and not have those worry free nights. Because right now, I what I need to focus on is that I have to freakin study our exams tomorrow which I havent started reading yet~!!
